MURRAY — A 37-year-old man who was hospitalized after nearly drowning at Willow Pond Park died Sunday, police said.
Witnesses told emergency crews the man was racing a remote-controlled boat when it got stuck Saturday. He went to get it out and began calling for help, they said.
The man was pulled from the water and given CPR, a representative from the Murray Fire Department said. He was under water for up to five minutes, the fire official said.
The man was transported by ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center. His name was not released.
