KID NATION — If you know any kids, you know that logic doesn’t generally make an appearance in their arguments. Kid arguments generally consist of a stubborn back and forth of “nu-uh” vs. “uh-huh” and variations thereof.
And so it is with the group of preschoolers arguing about rain in this video. The little boy insists that it’s sprinkling outside because his mom said so, and the little girl insists that it’s raining because her mom said. Pretty heavy stuff.
The argument gets heated with raised voices and escalates into the girl poking the boy in the eye. Not cool, little girl.
Luckily, there’s a third party — a moderator or peacemaker, if you will. She can’t make sister apologize for poking the boy in the eye, but she does briefly stop the physicality from going further.
However, once the boy throws down the gauntlet with the exclamation, “You’re not real, I’m real,” all bets are off.
Quickly thereafter the little girl pokes the boy in the chest. This elicits an “ow” from the little boy, and he says, “You poked my heart,” with the saddest expression and intonation that you may ever see. This offense is too much for him to handle, and the quiet tears begin. Luckily the peacemaker is on her game and quickly comforts the boy, telling him, “It OK.”
It’s a heart-melter.
