BOUNTIFUL — A man walking down train tracks in Bountiful was hit by a FrontRunner train Thursday afternoon, officials said.

The train hit the man where the train tracks cross 400 North in west Bountiful, South Davis Metro Fire said in a tweet. Officials ask that people stay out of the area while they continue their investigation.

The man was transported to the hospital in fair condition.

An extra bus line was started at the Woods Cross-Farmington station, the Utah Transit Authority said in a tweet. Riders should expect a delay of 20 to 30 minutes.
