As the weather cools we'll see the mountainsides and canyons change from green to a palette of crimsons, gold and orange. It's the perfect time to spend the weekends getting a front-row seat to the maples, oaks, aspens and other Utah trees that put on this colorful show. Wherever the road takes you this fall, plan ahead to make the most of it. Take food and water with you, entertainment for the kids and even though you've checked the forecast, taking a jacket or rain poncho can make all the difference if you're caught in an unexpected rain shower.
Remember to always wear your seat belt. No matter how long or short your trip is, don't take the chance—drivers and passengers should buckle up every time. Seat belts can save your life in the event of a car crash.
Motorcycle riders should be extra cautious on the roads to avoid accidents. Riders and their passengers should always wear protective gear including sturdy over-the-ankle footwear with non-slip soles, long pants, jackets, gloves and most importantly a helmet and proper eye protection.
