WEST JORDAN — Within hours asking for the public's help to identify a man who allegedly committed lewd acts in a store, West Jordan police say the man turned turned himself in.
A statement sent Tuesday evening from the police department's Twitter account said: "We thank the news media for their help, the lewdness suspect from today's press release has turned himself in."
Surveillance video from the Asian City Market, 1653 W. 9000 South, show the man following a female employee around the store on Aug. 7 at about 11:30 a.m., according to the West Jordan Police Department. Investigators said for about 25 minutes he periodically exposed himself and committed lewd acts.
Police did not identify the man Tuesday, saying that information will be released "once all charges are filed."
