OREM — A DUI driver fled from police before crashing into a parked vehicle and pushing it into a house Sunday morning, police said.

No one was injured in the crash at 495 E. 500 South, but damage to the house was estimated at $150,000, according to Lt. Craig Martinez with the Orem Police Department.

"At the time, the homeowners were asleep, were woken up by the noise, came out and were surprised to see the cops out in their driveway," Martinez said.

The driver of the fleeing vehicle, Jackson Hansen, 21, was checked at the scene and later booked into Utah County Jail, Martinez said. Police believe he was under the influence of both drugs and alcohol when the chase and accident occurred.
