SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz acquired forward Carrick Felix in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers Tuesday.

The Jazz traded guard John Lucas III, forward Erik Murphy and forward Malcolm Thomas in exchange for Felix, a 2015 second round draft pick and $1 million in cash.

The trade is rumored to clear cap space for the Cavaliers who are attempting to acquire Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a future first round pick.

Felix played seven games while in Cleveland, averaging 2.7 points. He spent most of his first season in the NBA Development League with the Canton Charge, averaging 11 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals.

The Jazz continue to acquire draft assets, with three picks in 2015, five in 2016 and five in 2017.

The Jazz also introduced new signing Trevor Booker to the media Tuesday. The free agent forward has played four years with the Washington Wizards, where he averaged 6.4 points and 5.1 minutes in 235 games.

Booker was drafted 23rd overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2010 before his rights were traded to the Wizards.
