PROVO — A woman was arrested after robbing a Chase Bank on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The robbery occurred at the Chase Bank at 1177 S. University Ave. around 1:45 p.m., according to Provo police. A woman came into the bank and approached clerks with a note demanding "loose money" starting with $100 bills. The woman also demanded the money not contain dye packs, police said.

The bank clerk gave the woman an undisclosed amount of cash and the woman left the bank on foot.

When officers arrived at the scene, they questioned two "suspicious" females in the Kmart parking lot. Upon further investigation, police discovered the two women had been with the robber who had just left the scene in a vehicle with a male driver.

Police located the male driver and the suspected robber. Freeda Coleman, 35, from Richfield was arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail. Most of the money was located and returned to Chase Bank, police said.
