NORTH LOGAN — Police are searching for the people involved in a string of burglaries in North Logan.

The burglaries occurred Monday between 1:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. in the area of 800 East and 2500 North and 1100 East and 2500 North, according to North Park police detective Ulysses Black. Three homes and a shed were burglarized, as well as eight vehicles near the homes.

Black said the homeowners were home at the time of the burglaries, and several witnesses said they heard "young, male voices" in the street. No one was injured or confronted during the thefts.

The thieves stole electronic items from the houses and vehicles, but there was no signs of forced entry. A candy-apple red road bicycle was also stolen from one of the homes. Black asked for people to look for the custom racing bike, which is valued at approximately $5,000. However, some of the stolen property has been recovered because the thieves "left a trail of items", Black said.

Several mailboxes and fences were also broken and damaged during the thefts. Black estimated the cost of the damage and items stolen to be between $10,000 and $15,000.

Three automobile thefts also occurred Monday between 5 and 7 p.m. at Elk Ridge Park during a soccer game, Black said. However, police are unsure if the same people were responsible for those burglaries.

Police are asking anyone with information about the burglaries to contact North Park Police Department at 435-753-7600.
