SALT LAKE CITY — Police asked for help Thursday to identify three men who they believe were involved with the theft of two 30-packs of beer from a 7-Eleven.
The robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven at 1353 W. Indiana Ave. on May 13, according to the Salt Lake City Police Department. Investigators said two men selected two 30-packs of beer and were confronted by a clerk when they tried to flee the store.
"The suspect with the plain black jacket produced a handgun from his waist area and brandished it to the clerk," a statement from the police department reads. "The two suspects left the store and were joined by a third suspect as they left the area."
Investigators described the three men as between 13 and 20 years of age and of hispanic descent. One man was wearing a black University of Utah hooded sweatshirt with a red U. logo, grey shorts, white socks and black high-top shoes, police said. A second man was wearing a black hooded jacket and dark pants.
