SALT LAKE CITY — Police were looking Wednesday for an armed man who robbed a Smith's gas station Tuesday night.
A clerk came out of the back room at 873 E. South Temple and found a man at the counter shortly after 11 p.m. The man was holding an unspecified weapon and ordered the clerk to give him money and his wallet, according to Salt Lake police detective Dennis McGowan.
The clerk complied and the man left the scene on foot.
Police said the robber was wearing a Chicago Bulls baseball hat, a dark bandana over his face and a black sweater and jeans.
