LOGAN — Two men have been arrested in connection with the burglary of several handguns from a Logan pawnshop.

Fast Cache Pawn at 527 S. Main was burglarized on Feb. 8, according to Logan police. Two men forced entry into the business and stole several handguns.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives offered a $5,000 reward on April 9 for anyone that offered information leading to the arrest and conviction of the burglars. Investigators were given two leads in response to the reward offered and they obtained a narcotics warrant for the residences of Cody Naser,27, and Tyler Jenson, 24.

Information discovered during the investigation led detectives to check the Bear River. The state of Utah's dive team and the Cache County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team were called in to help search for the firearms in the river. The firearms were located and recovered from the Bear River on May 5.

Naser was arrested on April 29, and Tyler Jenson was arrested Monday for investigation of burglary and theft of a firearm. Both were booked into the Cache County Jail.

Naser was charged on May 1 with two counts of possession or use of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony; use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor; and possession of a firearm by a restricted person, a third-degree felony. Police say he will also face charges for the burglary.

On May 1, Jenson was charged with burglary, a third-degree felony, and 11 counts of theft, a second-degree felony. Court records show Jenson pleaded guilty in 2008 to attempted escape from official custody, sexual battery, interfering with a legal arrest, unlawful possession of alcohol or a controlled substance by a minor and intoxication.
