ST. GEORGE — A man walking through traffic without any clothes on was arrested Tuesday, police said.
Vance Hodo, 34, caused cars to stop when he parked his truck in the road and then got out without any clothes on, according to St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain.
The incident occurred in the area of 2000 E. Middleton Drive, Despain said.
“He was apparently suffering from some sort of mental issue and decided to get in the truck, drive out to the road and kind of park or position his car in the road and then get out while he wasn’t wearing any clothing, open up his hood and start throwing items out into the road,” Despain said.

The incident occurred on a two-lane street in a residential area, but Despain said there were multiple witnesses. The department received reports of the incident around 1:30 p.m.
“Our officers responded and that is, in fact, what we saw,” he said. “There was a man walking in the road, causing cars to stop, and wearing no clothing.”
Officers took him into custody and transported him to the hospital for a medical evaluation.
After the evaluation, Hodo was booked into the Washington County Jail on suspicion of lewdness, impeding traffic, littering and disorderly conduct.
