SALT LAKE CITY — The Unified Police Department has identified a man and a woman wanted in connection with a porch theft case from December.
On Dec. 13, 2013, a homeowner near 5100 South and Holladay Blvd. reported the theft of packages that were delivered to his home and sitting on his porch, Lt. Justin Hoyal said.
At about 1:42 p.m. that day, police say 29-year-old Branden Karpakis of Salt Like City and 43-year-old Anita Schroeder of Taylorsville pulled up to the home in a pickup truck and took the packages.
The theft was caught on surveillance cameras.
A member of the public called police and identified the pair after police released a surveillance video to the media. However, police have been unable to locate either of the suspects, Hoyal said.
According to Hoyal, the case has been screened with the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office and there are active warrants for Karpakis and Schroeder in connection with the case.
If you have information on the pair’s whereabouts, you can call UPD at 801-272-2715.
