SALT LAKE CITY — Studio 5's 30-day "10 Pound Challenge" is back for its fourth year of helping Utahns shed weight.

The premise is simple: Studio 5 is challenging anyone who wants to join in to lose 10 pounds in just five weeks, and they're giving you all the tools to do it for free. The program offers trainer support, meal plans, daily workouts and inspiration — and it's all free.

"We all set a goal to be healthier in the New Year and the challenge is a great way to jump on that goal and really make it happen," said Melanie Douglass, Studio 5 fitness expert.

In 2013, Utahns lost 3,000 pounds.

Also new this year: group workouts with Melanie, customizable meal and workout plans and bigger-than-ever prizes.

"The grand prize, it's a NordicTrack elliptical. It's top of the line, has a TV mounted on it. I already can't wait to give this thing away," Douglass said.

Then there's the most rewarding prize: losing weight and getting healthy.

"There's not a crazy diet, there's not a crazy workout plan, it's do a little bit better each day," Douglass said. "And if you stay positive, you'll lose those 10 pounds and be entered in a drawing for fabulous prizes."
