BOUNTIFUL — Two men wearing camouflage masks and blue surgical gloves robbed a Carl's Jr. at gunpoint Tuesday.

The men targeted the Carl's Jr. located at 195 West 500 South in Bountiful Tuesday night, according to Bountiful Patrol Sgt. Andrew Bryson.

Jordan Dool, 30, and Jeremy Dool, 29, of Tooele County allegedly duct-taped the restaurant employees in the back of the store while forcing the store manager to empty the cash tills and the safe.

The Dools gathered around $3,100 before fleeing out the back door. A local tow truck operator spotted the Dools exiting the Carl's Jr., and followed them as they left. She then called police dispatch and gave a detailed description of the men's vehicle, clothing and physical appearance.

Bryson said multiple agencies responded to the call throughout Davis County, and the two men were later apprehended by a North Salt Lake officer at the top of the southbound on-ramp that connects to 2600 South.

"The process of finding and arresting the suspects went about as well as it possibly could have," Bryson said. However, he said that it can have a negative effect on the employees involved.

"We have teenage employees, local high school kids that are working here and it was really a traumatic event for them," Bryson said. "Actually there was a customer that came in and one of the males turned the weapon around at the customer and told him to get out."

Both men have been charged with aggravated felonies. Bryson was unfamiliar with their criminal histories.

The driver of the getaway vehicle was a female, who has not been charged, but Bryson said she is still under investigation.

The men targeted a business in Davis County due to the distance from Tooele, Bryson said.
