WASHINGTON COUNTY — The rear trailer of a southbound FedEx truck hauling two trailers slid and rolled on its side Friday afternoon in Kolob Canyon, slowing traffic on I-15 for several hours.

The FedEx driver was trying to avoid a previous fender bender near the Kolob Canyon exit when he attempted to change from the left lane to the right.

As the driver changed lanes, the rear trailer began to slide. It eventually jack-knifed and tipped over, blocking the left lane. Wet roads from snowfall was a factor.

No one was injured in the accident.

The accident took place at about 2:30 p.m. and troopers had the trailer righted and out of traffic at about 6 p.m.
