SANDY — Search and rescue crews responded Sunday to a hiker who fell and injured himself near Bell Canyon Reservoir, according to Sandy Fire Deputy Chief Bruce Cline.

Cline said the man was in the area of a waterfall at Ben Canyon Reservoir when he fell, approximately a one-hour hike from the trailhead. A helicopter had been deployed to the scene, as well as search and rescue responders. The extent of the man's injuries was not yet known.
