ADAMS CANYON, Davis County — A 15-year-old has died one day after falling while hiking in Adam's Canyon, the Davis County Sheriff's Office confirmed Sunday.
The boy, whose identity was not released by police, was hiking with a group of five Saturday evening when he reportedly slipped and fell between 50 and 70 feet.
The teen was transported by helicopter to Primary Children's Medical Center with injuries to his head and ribs. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

A teen was taken to the hospital via medical helicopter Saturday after suffering critical injuries from a fall.
Around 7:30 p.m., 15-year-old boy was hiking with a group of five others Saturday evening in Adams Canyon near Canyon Fall when the teen slipped and fell about 80 feet near the waterfall.
A woman with some medical training administered first aid to the boy before paramedics arrived and others offered towels and clothing to cover him, witnesses said.
The teen was hoisted to a medical helicopter and transported to Primary Children's Medical Center with injuries to his head and ribs.
Search and rescue teams were heading into the canyon to locate and escort the rest of the group and other hikers off the trail.
