TAYLORSVILLE — Police are looking for a bank robber who allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of money from a Taylorsville bank.

At 3:35 p.m. Friday, Unified police were notified of a robbery in progress at the US Bank at 4135 S. Redwood Road. The robber, police said, had entered the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding cash.

The teller complied, and the robber left the building, running east toward 4100 South, according to Unified Police Department Det. Jared Richardson.

The bank was closed during the investigation, but police expected it to reopen according to its regular business hours Saturday.

Police described the alleged robber as a 5-foot 7-inch tall man with red hair and a full goatee. He was wearing a gray hoodie with a white shirt underneath, jeans and a white baseball cap with white or red stripes across the top and possibly some kind of lettering.

Anyone with information about the robber is asked to call 801-743-5950.
