That's exactly what a Utah man faced in the Badwater ultramarathon. It's 135 miles long and runners have just 48 hours to finish.
It starts 280 feet below sea level. Then, competitors endure three steep climbs ending 8,000 feet up. Richard Piatt visited with Jarom Thurston about his experience and learned how the group Addict II Athletes inspired him.
