SYRACUSE — The condition of a 3-year-old girl had improved Tuesday as she was hospitalized after a dresser and TV fell on her Monday, investigators said.
The girl, who was transported in critical condition, was "doing much better" Tuesday and may even be able to return home Tuesday or Wednesday, said Syracuse Fire Chief Eric Froerer. He said the update on her condition came from responders to the scene.
Fire crews responded to her home near 700 West and 2500 South around 9 a.m. Monday after a dresser and an older model "tube type" television either fell or was pulled onto the girl. She sustained critical injuries and was transported by medical helicopter to Primary Children's Medical Center.
