PRICE — A two-day search for a missing Carbon County woman ended Tuesday when her body was found at the base of a cliff.
Evidence at the scene shows that Holly A. Martineau slipped and fell about 100 feet into a boulder-strewn area on the slope of Wood Hill, according to Price Police Capt. Bill Barnes.
"Her last footstep was clearly a slip," Barnes said. "You can clearly see that."
Martineau, 29, of Kenilworth, left her boyfriend's home in Price between 2 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday without taking her purse, cellphone or two daughters with her, according to a missing persons poster.

It was believed she walked toward Wood Hill to "clear her head," said Barnes, who added that the area is popular with walkers and cyclists.
"It's a frequently used area," the captain said.
When Martineau hadn't returned by 2:30 p.m. Sunday, her family called police to report her missing.
Martineau’s body was found by a family friend Tuesday morning and police were called. Officers investigated with help from the Carbon County Sheriff's Office and the Utah State Medical Examiner's Office, Barnes said.
Martineau's body was recovered from the slope by the Price Fire Department. An autopsy will be performed, Barnes said.
