Courtney Orton reportingA building in downtown Salt Lake is on fire tonight. It's located at 100 South and West Temple, where "Club DV8" used to be located.

The fire is now under control. Smoke can still be seen coming from the building, but the flames appear to be put out.

The story was very different earlier tonight. Flames roared from the building, and firefighters say it was tense at times.

Eleven fire engines are on the scene. They're calling this the largest fire since 2003, when a strip mall caught on fire along South Temple.

No one is believed to be inside the building.

When crews arrived on the scene, they went inside, but when the fire went on the offensive, everyone was pulled out.

Firefighters say they expect to be working the fire all night. The freezing temperatures are making conditions tough for the crews.

People in nearby buildings have been evacuated.
