SALT LAKE CITY — An early morning stabbing sent one man to the hospital with serious injuries Wednesday.
According to Lt. Brian Purvis with Salt Lake police, two men were involved in an altercation about an unknown subject at roughly 6 a.m. near 600 West and 200 South.
One man stabbed another and then fled the scene. The alleged assailant has not been found.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious but not life threatening wounds after making a phone call to police, Purvis said.
Witnesses were mostly asleep and few saw what happened. Police have not yet positively confirmed the identity of the alleged assailant or the suspect.
Purvis said the have a "pretty good chance" of finding the man.
