PROVO — Police are searching for a 14-year-old Provo girl who didn't return home from school Monday.

Sarah "Charice" Beaumont left for Dixon Junior High School around 8:30 a.m. and hasn't been seen since, police said. Her parents notified authorities when she didn't return home for the day. Apparently she never made it to school.

Charice sent an email to a friend before leaving the house, her parents said.

Anyone with information about Charice should call Provo police at 801-852-6210

Friends and family members have started a campaign on social media, including Instagram, to spread the word about her disappearance. Thousands have posted on various outlets in an effort to find her.

A neighborhood search party was organized Monday night. Dozens of volunteers met at the Beaumonts' home near 1100 W. 650 North around 7:30 p.m. They spent several hours canvassing the neighborhood, knocking doors and passing out flyers with Charice's picture.

Family members said they plan to continue the search Tuesday at 8 a.m. Volunteers are asked to meet at the LDS Church building at 780 N. 700 West in Provo.

So far, police said they've found no evidence of foul play. Anyone with information regarding Charice's whereabouts is urged to call Provo police at 801-852-6210.
