LOGAN — A man sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries near Logan Sunday afternoon in an accident involving a semitrailer.
At about 3:20 p.m., a man on a motorcycle traveling west on SR-89 lost control of his vehicle and laid it down in Sardine Canyon, according to UHP Trooper Cameron Roden.
The semitrailer then hit the motorcycle , which was caught under the trailer.
The man received serious injuries to the lower half of his body and was transported to a Cache County hospital for treatment. He was in fair condition as of Sunday night.
The driver was uninjured. The road was closed for a short time while medical crews tended to the victim.
Police are not sure what caused the driver to lose control of the motorcycle. The investigation is still underway.
