LOGAN -- Don't lose your head, but apparently a horseback rider in Logan has already lost his. The spookiest part: he's not affiliated with Cache County's rendition of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."

This headless horseman turned the head of John Boswell. "He was just very quiet, walking around and not a word was said," he said.

Others like Boswell followed the headless rider around 100 North and 100 East, gawking and taking pictures. His costume and horse were real and certainly an unusual sight, but Jayme Smith, who is putting on the county's production of "Sleepy Hollow," wants to know the rider's identity.

"Whether intended or not, it's doing us a lot of good in bringing attention and exposure to our production," she said. "We're very grateful. Whoever it is deserves some (free) tickets."

Witnesses guess the mystery horseman just really likes Halloween. "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" is playing at the Cache County Fairgrounds.
