Segment 1The Governor of Utah leads one of the fastest growing states in the country with an especially young population. Our state has great needs for funding education, transportation, infrastructure and other public services. That was discussed during the only televised debate between Governor Gary Herbert and his challenger Peter Cooke.

It's been 32 years since Utahns have elected a Democrat as Governor of Utah, but Peter Cooke is hoping to change that. Cooke is a retired 2-star Major General in the U.S. Army Reserves, a business owner and Utah's former Director of Economic Development. He joined Richard Piatt to discuss his candidacy.

Segment 2

This is first full term Governor Herbert is seeking. He took office following a special election after Governor Jon Huntsman stepped down to become U.S. Ambassador to China. Richard Piatt sat down with the Governor and discussed his time in office and his plans for moving the state forward.

Segment 3

Predatory towing is a big problem in Provo but Doug Wright found concern on the matter extends well outside of Utah county. He offers his opinion on the issue.
