SALT LAKE CITY — Tonight's Wednesday's Child has a thing for animals, so the Humane Society was a perfect place to shoot her adoption profile.
Fourteen-year-old Olivia is a little camera shy, but she lights up around animals. She also loves to be active.
"I like to be outdoors and I like swimming and dancing," she said.
She has been in foster care for about 2 years and craves the stability of a permanent home.
"I just feel like I need a family," she said. "Someone that understands me and just likes me."

There's always an awkward conversation she says kids in foster care face when someone asks you about your family, and you have to explain your situation.
"I hate when people ask you, ‘Hey are those your parents?' and you're like, ‘No, they're my foster parents,'" she said. "I kind of think that's annoying. I'd like to be able to say they're my parents."
This 8th grader admits she loves junk food and would eat pizza and chips for every meal if she could. And her perfect family is one that loves animals as much as she does.
"Let me have a puppy or something.," she said.
