AMERICAN FORK — Utah students aren't the only ones heading back to school. Chopper 5 and our Read Today program are ready to celebrate reading successes.

Students at Forbes Elementary in American Fork started their school year with a read-a-thon. We praised them with mood pencils that should help the mood of learning.

Principal Sam Wrencher said, "Reading is the whole essence of why we're here. It's the whole reason for Forbes Elementary, so students can learn to read."

You can log your children's reading minutes at the Read Today program online.
