SALT LAKE CITY — A love for animals often translates into a love for people, and this week's Wednesday's Child hopes her love of animals can translate to a new family for her.
15-year-old Sophie loved meeting the sea animals at Living Planet Aquarium. She didn't shy away from feeding a giant sea turtle, or getting up close and personal with a penguin.
And she's the same way with people. She's been in foster care for a year, but can't wait to be a part of a permanent family.
Sophie is pretty and petite, but she loves sports.
In fact, if she could choose the perfect day, she says it would be spent playing baseball with her new family.
Sophie isn't picky when it comes to food, but she doesn't like anything too spicy. Her favorite subject is math, and her favorite color is orange.
When you get to know her, you see her sweet personality and gentle nature.
She hopes her future family is watching and can't wait to get to know them.
