CACHE COUNTY — A lot of careful preparation goes into planning a wedding. Most people go through the process of choosing the perfect dress, meticulously picking the wedding colors, the flowers and the food. But one couple decided to go about theirs a different way.
For John Bischof and Kathi, it was a second marriage. Rather than do the traditional fancy wedding celebration, they decided they wanted to get down and dirty by having a mud race ceremony.
For these two love birds, there was no better way to seal the deal than to slosh and slip through meadows and mountains of mud in the Man vs. Mud Run in Cache County.
Kathi wore a wedding dress and John was sporting a tuxedo. Their 30 bridesmaids and groomsmen were decked out in the wedding colors of orange and pink. But by the end of the race, everything was really brown.
The ceremony took place after the mud run. The Bischofs also ran the race together the previous year.
The couple say that all they need now is a bath, and they will be off to their happily ever after.
