MIAMI - The Miami Heat collapsed in the second half and lost a key game five in Miami Tuesday night to the Boston Celtics. The Heat are in a tough spot as they head back to Boston and face elimination in a hostile environment, and the Heat fans know the future looks grim.

As the Heat hung their heads low and marched off the court Tuesday night the crowd was all but silent, but there was one fan who hasn't given up on them yet.

A young boy, likely eight-years-old or so, had words on encouragement for the down trodden Heat. While most fans were muttering under their breath about the poor free throw shooting or lack of discipline down the stretch, this kid had little league pick-me-up quotes like, "Good job!" and "Good effort!"

I know this isn't a huge deal, but there's something to be said here. We always tell our kids that it's not about winning and losing, but about having fun and playing your best, and this kid took it to heart. Who knows, maybe this kid's positive attitude can help left the cold Heat.

Federer Flips Out

During Tuesday's French open match between Roger Federer and Juan martin Del Porto, the all-time Grand Slam leader had some harsh words for the crowd.

Federer was down two sets to the Argentine when a second-set tiebreaker volley had the audience entranced. Shots barely squeaked in at some points and the crowd let out ohhs, ahhs and cheers. Finally Federer hit a forehand shot into the net and lost the tie break.

After the shot Federer looks at the crowd and screams at the top of his lungs, "Shut up!" I'm not sure it silenced the crowd, but did calm Federer's nerves. The tennis legend fought back and ended up winning the match.

Sad State of the Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs are currently 19-36 and sitting dead last in the NL Central division. The Cubs game against the San Francisco Giants on Monday was another opportunity for the Cubbies to show off the sad spot the club is currently in.

In the bottom of the fifth the Cubs lead the Giants 2-1, when a ground ball found its way to Cubs short stop Starlin Castro. Castro, one of the bright spots for the struggling club, snatched up the ball, tagged second base and then started for the dugout. Seems pretty standard, except for the fact that there was only one out, the bases were loaded and Castro didn't try to turn the double play.

Castro's gaffe gave the Giants a run which tied the game and then San Fran later went on to win the game 3-2. We can forgive Castro considering his solid history, but this is just further proof that the Cubbies have a long ways to go.
