WILMINGTON, Del. — Finally, the world record all of us have been dying to get back to the United States is finally ours. America is now home to the tallest Lego tower in the history of the world.
A group of high school students in Delaware gave up their summer to steal the record from the Czech Republic, which held the previous record of 106 feet. The new tower reaches 112 feet and is made up of more than half a million Lego bricks.
Guinness World Record Book representatives were there when the final bricks were laid and our country had something to be proud of again.
Yes, I'm being a little tongue-in-cheek, but truth be told this tower is pretty awesome. It took the students months to finish the tower and I believe it officially rivals Barad-dur. If you don't know what the Barad-dur is, don't worry about it, if you do, I've probably offended you but I stand by my statement.
