The Utes are in the midst of a spending spree. Too bad that they'll get all-new facilities and can actually afford them. Alex Smith is learning aspects of the pistol offense and right now it appears Gaige Weddle is the hope of the future.

For various reasons, Utah has decided not to schedule BYU in football during the 2014 and '15 seasons. But one of the game's best rivalries has a chance to continue in those two years. Those involved should set it up for the teams to play in a bowl.

Coach Kyle Whittingham and the Utah football program are conducting their 9th consecutive year of youth and high school football camps this June. Sessions are scheduled for 2nd through 12th grades for all levels of football experience.
