The YWCA has hosted these discussions for a couple of years, but just recently started holding the teas during the lunch hour. Since then, a lot more women have turned out.

Natalie Kaddas knows how hard it is to juggle motherhood with a career and still find time to take care of yourself. The YWCA recently invited Natalie to speak to a group of young women about how she learned to manage it all.

"I started working out twice a week, and within a year, I'm happy to say I went from a size 22 to an 8," Kaddas told the group. "Being able to balance emotionally, spiritually, physically and mentally; those are the things that have worked for me."

The Successiteas discussion series was created to encourage dialogue and provide leadership opportunities for women under the age of 35. Topics have ranged from politics to organic gardening.

"We really try to capture the interest of young women in our community, get them interested and organized," said Julia Jarrett, with the YWCA.

The hope is these women will feel empowered to get involved and make a difference in the community.

"I'm really excited. I'm going to get more information. I'm a career woman in Salt Lake City, and I'm really excited to come to more," Ann Dent said.

"It's just a really nice, informal way to come together and enjoy tea and learn about things going on in the community and hear inspiring stories," Sarah Brown said.

The Successiteas lunch takes place every other month. For more information on the discussion series, click the related link to the right of this story.
