This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

When's the last time you've had an executive tell you how much their company is growing on a daily basis? This is information Kevin Hill of The Blogger Network in Farmington monitors daily, which is one reason the company is growing so quickly.

A little over a year ago, Kevin Hill, with friends and classmates Kyle Ivins and Nathan Putnam, was operating a marketing company specializing in social media. As they worked with clients, including some bloggers, they realized there had to be a better way to leverage ad space for bloggers. They teamed up with some of Utah's most popular lifestyle blogs, lead by the Six Sisters Stuff, and created The Blogger Network.

When you visit a website and see display ads, you'll notice advertisements that pop up a few seconds later. Your IP address is sent to a server which collects the demographic information, and advertisers then bid for the ad space. The Blogger Network uses proprietary technology to give bloggers a higher amount of demand and competition for those ad spaces. That helps increase the blogger's earnings. They use data to pair advertisers with blogs that will appeal to their target demographic, which also increases rates blogs can make.

What this means is that bloggers can now earn more money per page and ad view because of better targeting and demand. It's also meant daily growth for The Blogger Network. There's even been a waiting list of bloggers wanting to sign up for the service.

All blogs are family-friendly, so the team at The Blogger Network makes sure there's no inappropriate advertising. Most are lifestyle blogs, with tasteful advertisements. Account managers help optimize placement to make sure things stay in line with the original agreement.

The Blogger Network works to provide information on how to use social media to drive more traffic to a client's website. Kevin says in less than a year, they've already developed a strong network of advertisers and bloggers who are excited about the unique business model.
