Eight years ago Jacob Hoehne (hay-knee) had just finished a master's degree at Syracuse University in New York and was all set to move to Washington, D.C. to work for Discovery Channel. As a father with two young children, he decided to come back to Utah for a few months to save money.
A single project stretched into a year and after several other clients appeared, he decided it made sense to stay here and start his own production company. This is Issimo (ee-see-mo) Productions in Pleasant Grove. It's now contributing to Utah's thriving film industry. The philosophy for Issimo Productions is if you can't make a five times return on what you invest with them, then it's not a good fit.
