SALT LAKE CITY — The Olympus Titans had their work cut out for them against Sky View Monday. Junior Jake Lindsey was out with a broken hand and the Titans would have to replace his 18 points, six rebounds and nearly five assists per game.

Lindsey’s teammates, admirably, picked up the slack.

Alec Monson led all scorers with 29 points and Connor Haller and Spencer Williams chipped in 12 points each in leading the Titans to a 71-50 victory over the Bobcats in the first round of the Class 4A Boys State Tournament at the Huntsman Center.

Riley Panter, who hit 4-of-9 from downtown, led Sky View with 16 points.

Olympus will play Highland Wednesday at 4:10 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
