THE INTERWEBZ — It's time to take you around the world, one tweet at a time.

Don't worry, though; we'll leave you back in Utah in time for lunch.

Today's installment of your daily sports roundup is brought to you by … actually, we're not sure the name of this famous character who's always talking about "twue wuv" from "The Princess Bride."

Let us explain:

1. Colombia soccer player celebrates goal — and life

Colombian striker Martin Arzuaga recently completed a transfer to Alianza Petrolera in his home country from Jaguares de Cordoba.

Arzuaga was so excited to score a goal for Alianza that he made a major life decision in the aftermath.

After a left-footed chip inside the far post to put his club up 1-0 on Boyaco Chico, Arzuaga pulled out a handkerchief that read, "Katya, will you marry me?"

No word on when the reception will be held, or even if Katya said yes.

For the sake of Arzuaga — and his team, if this is what will happen every time he scores a goal — we hope she's on board.

2. Alex Morgan makes FIFA 16 cover

Alex Morgan has a World Cup medal, an Olympic gold and a few weeks of rest after undergoing surgery following the 2015 Women's World Cup in Canada.

What's next for the Portland Thorns striker? Apparently, standing next to Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

EA Sports released its FIFA 16 cover on Monday, showing the U.S. women's forward standing next to the Argentine wonder, and Morgan became the first-ever female soccer player on the cover of the popular video game franchise.

New Orlando City midfielder Servando Carrasco could not be reached for comment about his wife's latest honor.

3. Former BYU player pens thoughtful tribute to Bronco Mendenhall

Finally, back to the Wasatch Front.

Former BYU defensive back Harvey Jackson posted an open letter to the head coach of his alma mater on his Facebook page, calling Mendenhall "a great coach and a great man."

Jackson refers to the 2014 season, when BYU started the year 4-0 then promptly lost four-straight games after a season-ending injury to starting quarterback Taysom Hill. In the letter, Jackson said the time was "a quick 4-4 nightmare in a matter of seconds."

A native of Fresno, Texas, Jackson played in all 13 games for BYU in 2014, including two starts. He tallied a career-high 10 tackles at Cal and also recovered a fumble in a win over then-No. 25 Texas.

"BYU is no ordinary place," Jackson continued in his letter. "Every time I sit back and replay my senior season as a collegiate football player, I couldn't be more proud of the fact that I chose to play for coach Bronco Mendenhall."

You can read the entire letter on Jackson's Facebook page here.
