Kincade leads Grambling over Alcorn State 43-18

GRAMBLING, La. (AP) — Devante Kincade threw five TD passes and ran for another score and Grambling State beat Alcorn State 43-18 on Saturday night in a Southwestern Atlantic Conference matchup.

Kincade was 30 of 42 for 400 yards passing, and threw TD strikes of 17 and 47 yards to Martez Carter, a 20-yarder to Verlan Hunter, a 67-yarder to Chad Williams and an 8-yarder to Jordan Jones. Kincade also had a 7-yard TD run and gained 84 yards on 14 carries.

Williams had 13 receptions for 188 yards.

Donovan McCray scored a safety early that gave the Tigers (3-1, 2-0) a 9-8 lead and Guy Stallworth had 14 solo tackles.

Noah Johnson threw a 10-yard TD pass to LaDarrien Davis for the Braves (1-2, 1-2), who also scored a safety and briefly led 8-7. Marquis Warford returned a kickoff 87 yards for a score in the fourth quarter.
