HERMOSILLO, Mexico (AP) — Matt McBride homered twice and drove in four runs, helping the Colorado Rockies beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 11-10 in a split-squad game on Sunday.
McBride hit a two-run shot in the first against Aaron Blair and another two-run drive in the fourth off Vidal Nuno. Robert Ramos added a solo shot in the top of the 10th, sending Colorado to the win in Mexico.
Jake Lamb had three hits for Arizona, and Nick Evans drove in three runs. Paul Goldschmidt went 1 for 4 and scored a run.
Blair allowed six runs, four earned, and seven hits in three innings. Nuno then came in and gave up two runs and three hits in four innings.
Rockies right-hander Christian Bergman was charged with six runs and eight hits in three innings.
