MADRID (AP) — A judge has ordered three terror suspects arrested over the weekend in the Spanish North African enclave of Ceuta to remain jailed because they pose a potential threat to the country's security.

Judge Pablo Ruz says a fourth man arrested can be released but must surrender his passport, stay in Spain and check in every week with authorities.

A court statement says Ruz made the decision Monday after the four Spanish citizens with Moroccan roots were arrested in raids Saturday.

Police seized a pistol, ammunition, military fatigues, face-concealing hoods, machetes, knives and Spanish vehicle license plates.

Spanish Interior Minister Jorge Fernandez Diaz characterized the pair of brothers as "highly trained militarily, physically and mentally."

Ruz did not release more details about the case.
