BERLIN (AP) — Police say a Lufthansa plane was diverted after a passenger being deported from Germany threatened the cabin crew with a broken razor blade.

Police spokesman Harald Lindacher said the 28-year-old man from Kosovo became unruly shortly after the plane took off from Munich on a flight to Budapest.

Lindacher said the man was being deported to Hungary, where he had applied for asylum before entering Germany illegally.

He said the pilot turned the plane around and returned to Munich airport where the other 76 passengers left the aircraft as police negotiated with the man, and arrested him without incident.

One flight attendant was slightly injured in the incident while others were shocked.

It was not immediately clear how the man smuggled the razor blade onto the plane.
