WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) — A fatal crash in West Valley City shut down a section of eastbound State Road 201 during part of the morning commute.

The Utah Highway Patrol is withholding the name of the 72-year-old man who was killed in the single-vehicle rollover at about 3:40 a.m. Thursday.

Traffic was rerouted around the accident at 4800 West until the wreckage was cleared and all lanes were reopened at about 8 a.m.

The patrol says the victim was not wearing a seatbelt. He was declared dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
