BALTIMORE (AP) — Authorities in Baltimore say a 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of his infant son.
Baltimore police say Darrow Keith Coady was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with second-degree murder in the death of his 8-month-old son, also named Darrow Coady.
Police say officers were called to an apartment Monday morning for a report of an infant not breathing. Arriving officers found the baby unconscious. The infant was treated at the scene by firefighters and then taken to the hospital, where he later died.
An autopsy conducted Tuesday ruled the infant's death a homicide by blunt force trauma.
Investigators say tips from the community led to the suspect's arrest. It isn't immediately clear if he has an attorney.
