KAYSVILLE, Utah (AP) — A Clearfield man has died a freeway wreck involving multiple vehicles.
The Standard-Examiner of Ogden reports (http://bit.ly/1Ygu334) that the three-vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 15 in Kaysville around 9 a.m. Sunday.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, a Toyota Camry was traveling northbound at rate of speed that was too fast for the weather conditions.
The Camry's driver lost control and sideswiped another car.
The impact led to a motor home hitting the Camry on the driver's side.
UHP officials say the 75-year-old male driver of the Camry was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries.
The occupants of the motor home were hospitalized with minor injuries.
Authorities say the crash shut down traffic for three hours.
The incident remains under investigation.
