ATLANTA (AP) — Two Atlanta police vehicles crashed while officers were responding to the same call.

Atlanta police spokesman Officer Lukasz Sajdak tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/1q3iKzt) the officers were responding to a call of shots being fired behind a nightclub about 9 p.m. Thursday when the police SUV and patrol car collided.

Carolyn Royal, who works at a restaurant across the street, says neither officer slowed down in the intersection.

The officer in the patrol car became trapped. Sajdak says both streets were shut down while fire officials got the officer out of the car. He says the officer was taken to the hospital in good condition. No serious injuries were reported.

Sajdak says officers at the scene where shots were fired didn't find anyone who had been shot.

Police are investigating both incidents.
