SINKING SPRING, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a school bus and a car were involved in a crash in eastern Pennsylvania, sending the car driver and 17 students to the hospital, but no major injuries were reported.
Police in Berks County's Spring Township said the bus was carrying 34 students, two teachers and a driver when the crash occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. Monday.
Police said the car driver sustained minor to moderate injuries and two students were taken by ambulance to a hospital, one with a minor head laceration and another who cracked and lost a tooth.
Police said 15 other students were taken by bus for treatment of bumps, bruises and complaints of pain.
The Wilson School District said the bus was heading to the middle school when it was struck from behind.
